Manager, Online Marketing Strategy, II

Supported by a team of project managers, content creators, graphic designers, digital implementers, website developers, and more, the Account Strategist’s day-to-day involves communicating directly with clients, distilling their actual goals, creating a plan to achieve those goals and then collaborating with internal resources to make it all happen. The Account Strategist is the tip of the spear when it comes to our client's success. The right person is someone who will work diligently and relentlessly to orchestrate ROI-driven results from launching blogs and ebooks to full PPC campaigns for lead generation, among other engagements. You will need to utilize a breadth of marketing knowledge to understand what’s possible and work with a team of experts to achieve top-tier results. The role reports to one of our Senior Managers of Online Marketing Strategy.

What you can expect in an Account Strategist role at SyncShow

  • You’ll manage a book of business, primarily advising them on their ROI-driven marketing strategy. You’ll be supported by a team of project managers and marketing specialists who will help to see that your strategies are executed.
  • You’ll serve as the main point of contact for your clients, working to deepen your relationships so they see you as a trusted advisor.
  • You’ll leverage your problem-solving skills to help our internal teams tackle complicated projects.
  • You’ll manage the risk and financial performance of your accounts including pricing, budget planning, and quality.
  • You’ll drive new business revenue at each of your accounts as well as through your networking and evangelism efforts such as participating in industry-specific events and organizations.
  • You’ll travel to your client locations to meet with key decision-makers and/or C-level executives so they understand the value we bring to their sales and marketing infrastructure.
  • As a key member of our account strategy team, you’ll help us execute our corporate vision and mission.

You should want to learn and continually improve your expertise. To be considered, you’ll need the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in ROI-driven marketing, at an agency or multi-divisional company.
  • Proven Account or Marketing Management experience
  • Superb interpersonal skills with the ability to put people at ease and engage with people across all areas and levels of the business, including those in the C-suite
  • Strong business acumen
  • Confidently manage difficult conversations to expertly lead clients
  • Previous experience in a marketing agency is a plus
  • Ability to problem solve quickly
  • Strong leadership ability with a focus on accountability and proactivity for effective account management
  • Understanding of digital marketing practices and trends
  • HubSpot, GA4, and WordPress experience is a plus
  • Quick learner with a think-on-your-feet attitude
  • A commitment to high standards, excellence, team, and our clients
  • A commitment to work onsite, in the office at least 2 days per week helping to drive a culture of collaboration and out-of-the-box thinking.

Accountabilities / Expectations

  • 90% client retention (revenue)
  • 5% retainer upsell
  • 15% of retainer spend as project upsell
  • All clients within budget (no more than 5% over)
  • All clients are meeting ROI goals
  • 9+ NPS or similar, at least 1 submission each year for each client
  • Management of 7-8 clients at an average of $8k MRR

  • We’ll pay you a competitive base salary plus a commission on sales.
  • We’ll pay you 1% of your managed revenue each quarter for NPS bonuses
